cap protest

The State Senate Democratic Committee is an organization dedicated to electing Democrats to Wisconsin’s State Senate.

We are at an unprecedented time in Wisconsin’s history.

In February of 2011, 14 brave Senators left their homes and families to stop and expose the radical, anti-working family agenda of Scott Walker and the GOP.  Hundreds of thousands of people came to the Capitol in Madison in February and March, to protest Walker’s extreme policies, culminating with 110,000 people welcoming home the Senate Democrats as heroes in March

capitol rally

After Republican Senators passed Act 10 (the budget repair bill), people took to the streets in every city, town, and village throughout the state gathering signatures to recall the Republican Senators.  Over 170,000 signatures were collected and 6 Republicans were recalled, triggering elections in the summer of 2011.
